MEBO International continues to make significant strides in advancing healthcare collaboration across the Asia-Pacific region. Following the October 15 launch of the "Life Regeneration Action" in partnership with ANIQUEM and a high-level forum on October 17 with the International Society of Regenerative Medicine and Wound Repair, MEBO International conducted an in-depth visit to Lambayeque Hospital in Chiclayo, Peru, on October 19. This visit reinforced MEBO’s pivotal role as a strategic partner for APEC 2023 and 2024.
Addressing Healthcare Challenges in Peru
Nearly 500 healthcare professionals, researchers, and students attended this crucial event. Dr. Carlos Dangelo, Executive Director of Lambayeque Hospital, warmly welcomed MEBO International and emphasized the pressing need for support from global healthcare leaders. In response, MEBO International Vice President Liu Gang noted that Peru's role as host of APEC 2024 provided a unique platform for deepening healthcare collaboration.
Innovations in Regenerative Medicine
During the visit, Xu Weiwei, Director of the China Office of the ISRMWR, and Dr. Carlos Marquez from Ecuador’s Kennedy Alborada Hospital, shared advancements in regenerative medicine. Their insights laid the groundwork for future medical partnerships in the region.
Spreading Compassion Through Action
MEBO’s delegation also visited children suffering from burn-related deformities, offering care and support. The beloved "Little MEBO" panda mascot provided a symbol of friendship and hope for the young patients.
Looking Toward the Future of APEC Healthcare
This visit solidified MEBO’s commitment to APEC’s healthcare goals. Looking ahead, MEBO plans further collaboration in Peru, with new initiatives expected to unfold during mid-November APEC events, focusing on economic cooperation and cultural exchange.
