Building upon the successful foundation laid during APEC Peru 2024, MEBO International — deeply committed to carrying forward the APEC ethos — officially launched the Latin America Regenerative Medical Technology Symposium series in 2025 in collaboration with its Peruvian partner Discontinental.
On May 8, the third session of the series, the Diabetic Foot Symposium, was successfully held. The symposium shared diagnostic and treatment approaches for diabetic foot at various stages, comprehensively covering the pathophysiological basis, clinical diagnostic criteria, optimization of treatment plans, and the mechanism of action of regenerative medical technology.
The first two sessions had already been successfully held: the first, on March 5, focused on 'Innovative Application of Regenerative Medical Technology in Wound Treatment'; the second, held on March 21, followed MEBO International's 2024 collaboration with Peruvian nonprofit ANIQUEM and was specially planned around pediatric burn treatment — the 'Application of Regenerative Medical Technology in Treating Deep Burns in Children'.
These symposiums have not only provided new therapeutic insights for medical professionals in Latin America but have further propelled international exchange in regenerative medical technology. The core objective of the series is to stimulate collaboration within the region and actively contribute to raising treatment standards — while presenting new opportunities for global medical collaboration and showcasing the shared APEC vision of economies working together for progress in healthcare.
