On May 17, 2022, Kevin Xu, Chairman of MEBO Group, met with Ernesto Zedillo, the 54th President of Mexico, during the fifth Pearson Annual Forum at the University of Chicago. The two discussed the shortage of burn and wound care physicians in Latin America, as well as the 'Regenerative Wave — MEBT Training in Latin America' program launched by MEBO Group together with the Clinton Foundation's CGI.
Ernesto Zedillo, a Mexican economist and statesman, is Director of the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization and a director of Citigroup. He served as President of Mexico from 1994 to 2000 and has since been a leading voice on globalization, particularly its impact on relations between developed and developing countries.
In 2019, MEBO Group launched a new training commitment in Latin America and the Caribbean — 'Regenerative Wave — MEBT Training in Latin America' — to provide regenerative medical technology training for more than one hundred medical professionals in Puerto Rico, Panama, Ecuador, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Chile, and Cuba, complemented by disaster preparedness and relief training.
At the forum, Zedillo — a leader in international policy on peace and conflict — also delivered a lecture on international affairs at the Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflicts.
